Catalan Agriculture Cooperatives Federation
Catalan Agriculture Cooperatives Federation (FCAC) is a SME agricultural cooperatives association based in Catalonia, Spain. The main objective of FCAC is to defend the interests of cooperatives and the cooperative model, and to also give advice and services to their affiliate cooperatives to improve their competitiveness.
FCAC has a multidisciplinary team of agronomists, economists, lawyers, and other professionals. Its main activities are technical advice, services (tax and grants), lobbying, and R&I projects to accompany cooperatives to be more sustainable, decrease environmental impacts, solve technical productivity problems, increase revenues, and definitely be more competitive.
FCAC has participated as a partner in R&I EU projects such as AgriMax, SCOOPE, LISA, and SAVASCO.
Role in the project
The main contribution of FCAC is the validation of tools and digital technologies used in the improvement of the support system for productive decisions.
FCAC is involved in WP2 to identify barriers and drivers to digitalization and to test the usability of digital tools in the agroecological European farming system, in WP4 to contribute to the co-creation of digital agroecology transformation; and in WP7 in the dissemination, exploitation and communication of PATH2DEA results within the agrifood sector.
