Agroecology Cluster

One of PATH2DEA’s deliverables involves the creation of the Digital Agroecology Cluster.  

The cluster aims at: 

  • bringing together projects related to agroecology and/or digitalization in agriculture, as well as European Partnerships and research infrastructures dealing with this theme; 
  • seeking synergies, common objectives or activities shared among the members; 
  • favoring knowledge-sharing and support to overcome potential barriers encountered;  
  • devoting attention to the interaction with projects dealing with new and, so far, less well-studied aspects of digital agroecology that need support and coordination; 
  • providing a forum for support and potential link with relevant testing facilities sites and (digital) technologies supporting the research objectives of the individual projects.  

The Cluster will be chaired by PATH2DEA and will invite a small group of projects, research entities and relevant partnerships to become members. 

Cluster participants will benefit from: 

  • The possibility to showcase their project and project’s results to peers 
  • The creation of synergies in the communication and dissemination of results 
  • The opportunity to collaborate on overlapping deliverables preventing duplication of effort 
  • A forum for support and discussion for potential obstacles arising in the projects 
  • A platform where to share about relevant events, funding opportunities, partnerships etc. 

We expect additional benefits and opportunities to arise from the discussion according to the participants’ needs and interests.  

The cluster will interact mainly via online meetings, with the possibility to plan ad-hoc in-person meetings as seen fit by its members. An in-person meeting is envisioned in September 2025, when the PATH2DEA project will terminate. 

The Cluster's kick-off is planned for June 2024. This will be a chance to present the PATH2DEA project and hear from the members’ projects, discovering the expertise, the common challenges and objectives the cluster will bring together.  

A more detailed plan of the meetings and their themes will follow taking up on the members’ participation and input.
