LEITAT
LEITAT is a private non-profit entity that offers disruptive solutions to the technological needs demanded by companies and entities, with a clear focus on generating competitive value and a sustainable future. Is a technological center founded in 1906, by a group of industrialists concerned with quality, certification, and research projects in the wool textile sector.
At the present time LEITAT Technological Center has extensive experience in providing technological solutions and plays an important role in the transfer of knowledge through participation and collaboration in various regional, national, and European projects.
The Circular Economy department is composed of the Sustainability Division, formed by a multidisciplinary team capable of effectively assessing the demand of organizations in issues related to sustainability, dealing with Sustainable Consumption and Production, Life Cycle Analysis and Ecodesign, Environmental Communication, Training and Environmental Awareness, and Social Innovation Actions.
Social Innovation is a line of work that is incorporated into the Sustainability Division with the aim of contributing to different aspects, such as:
- Inclusive, adaptative and collaborative
- Co-development of a Network of Knowledge as a space where innovations, competences and best practices services are gained, shared and exchanged, contextualized spatially and temporally.
- Multi-actor approach and Stakeholder’s engagement related to the social innovation practices.
- Developing problem-based case-specific desk-studies to facilitate tailored analyses and discourse analysis which deepen our understanding on stakeholders’ perceptions.
- Strengthen International collaboration and cluster activities with other related projects.
- Leading / performing the gender and sex analysis and monitoring to be considered in the project’s research and innovation activities (preliminary set in the proposal).
Role in the project
The main contribution of LEITAT is in the process of Co-crating digital agroecological transformation approaches and methodologies, and participation in the stakeholder’s co-evaluation (WP4), and identify barriers and drivers to digitization and test the usability of the digital tools designed through the FCAC showcase in Spain (WP4-WP2).
LEITAT is also involved in WP3, with some contributions to the development of a framework to assessment of environmental performance; WP6 some contributions in the strategic research & innovation agenda; and finally, in WP7 in the dissemination, exploitation and communication of PATH2DEA results within the agrifood sector.
