University of Hohenheim
University of Hohenheim (UHOH) is the leading university for agricultural and food sciences in Germany. Hohenheim is located in Stuttgart, in the Southwest of Germany. It is a profile university that comprises three faculties: the agricultural sciences, natural sciences, and the social and economic sciences. Bioeconomy and digitalization are a strategic research focus across all faculties. The university entertains four agricultural experiments stations with over 200 ha of agricultural area. With the Phytotechnikum, it soon has the largest high-tech greenhouse for research in Germany investigating agroecology aspects for various climatic conditions.
Research outcomes aim to contribute to the resilience of the agri-food system and follow the principles of a sustainable and circular Bioeconomy.
Role in the project
UHOHs main role will be to lead WP 3, which focusses on the sustainability performance of digital agroecology tools and technology. We will further contribute to Task 4.2 which involves stakeholders in the assessment of performance indicators and finally we will contribute to writing the roadmap.
