About AEDIT

Founded in 2001, AEDIT is a spin-off company of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (Pisa, Italy).
The core business of AEDIT is focused on the development of ICT tools applied to support advanced networks for agricultural and environmental monitoring, manage databases related to sustainable crop protection, develop DSS for farmers/advisors and local authorities, develop and run Apps and web-based databases for the collection and evaluation of agricultural and environmental information.
AEDIT combines information technology expertise with a deep knowledge in the agricultural domain- we have a team of skilled professionals with interdisciplinary competence: ICT development, data analysis, agronomy, pest management, environmental monitoring, and agri-business.

The showcase

Together withn SSSA, Aedit will manage the showcase located in Italy (Tuscany). The showcase is based on a group of small and low-input (or organic) olive farms already included in the H2020 IPMworks Orchard hub, of which SSSA is part of. The digital technology which will be used in the showcase is Poderi, an App with DSSs to promote sustainable agronomic practices (i.e, fertilization, irrigation, crop protection) in olive growing and to support in-field monitoring. Poderi has been created within a living lab of H2020 FAIRshare project with farm advisors and olive growers.
The involved olive farms will test Poderi in supporting agroecological approaches towards sustainable pest control and resources management.
